Seasonal Symmetry is a photographic design project that uses images from the four seasons of nature and applies the simple mathematical principle of symmetry to create a new overall image. The striking result shows the interplay of color that occurs in the natural world which is rarely successfully duplicated in a studio. There are four basic types of symmetry: rotation, translation, reflection and glide reflection. This project incorporates a combination of reflection and rotation symmetry.
